How does Advantix work?

After application, Advantix is quickly distributed over the entire surface of your dog's skin and coat.

Advantix, thanks to the synergy of its components, acts on the CNS of parasites causing an excess of nerve stimulation that causes paralysis and death. This effect is reinforced by more powerful and faster than if they act separately active ingredients.

Advantix repel-and-eliminate

Ticks are repelled as soon as they come into contact with a dog treated with Advantix® - this is because there is a hyperexcitation of the ticks' nerve endings (the so-called "scalded foot effect") which causes the ticks to fall off the dog before they have a chance to fix and bite. This short contact is, however, sufficient for the ticks to subsequently die.

Sandflies, mosquitoes and biting flies are also repelled ie prevented from biting your dog.

Fleas and lice are killed when they come into contact with your dog's skin or fur – they don't even need to be bitten.

If the parasites do not attach or bite, they do not transmit the disease agents they can carry.*

* EU MRP SPC section 4.4. It is possible to attach a tick or an isolated bite by sandflies or mosquitoes. Thus, if conditions are unfavorable, transmission of infectious diseases by these parasites cannot be completely excluded.

Imidacloprid 10%, 40% permethrin.

Dogs weighing 10 kg or less:

Keeping the dog upright, part the hair between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the pipette tip on the skin and squeeze the pipette several times firmly to empty the contents directly onto the skin.

Dogs weighing more than 10 kg:

The dog should be kept upright for easier application. The entire contents of the Advantix® pipette should be applied evenly at 4 points on the midline of the back, starting from the shoulder blades towards the base of the tail. At each point part the animal's fur until the skin is visible. Place the pipette tip on the skin and squeeze gently so that a portion of the content is poured directly onto the skin. Do not apply an excessive amount of solution to any of these points, as part of the solution may run down the animal's back.

For dogs weighing > 40 kg, the appropriate combination of pipettes should be applied.
