Phytosphingosine is a proceramide, a natural constituent of the epidermis, which contributes to the repair and reconstruction of the integrity of the skin's stratum corneum. It helps to restore the skin barrier, which is dysfunctional in animals with allergic dermatitis, with a consequent improvement in the level of skin hydration and pruritus. It also has anti-inflammatory activity, which is enhanced by the covalent binding of a salicylic acid molecule, creating the salicyloyl Phytosphingosine molecule, contributing to the improvement of inflammatory processes. It also has antimicrobial activity, promoting the control of the skin ecosystem and the normalization of surface flora to limit potential secondary complications.

SK-Influx V is a lipid complex that provides the essential components for the synthesis of stratum corneum lipids (phytosphingosine, ceramides, cholesterol and essential fatty acids). It stimulates the regeneration of the stratum corneum and, consequently, the protective barrier function of the skin.

Evening Primerose Oil is a source of fatty acids, including linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid, which are particularly important for normal skin structure and function. Topical application promotes the restoration and maintenance of the stratum corneum and therefore the skin barrier.

Germinosol is a source of vitamin E, with antioxidant properties and soothing properties for irritated skin.

Liquid paraffin and lanolin, with emollient and occlusive properties, contribute to the replacement and maintenance of the water content of the most superficial layer of the epidermis.

Alerderma shampoo also contains mild surfactants in its composition, which are not aggressive to the animal's skin, which, combined with the mechanical effect of the bath, allow the animal's skin to be effectively cleaned, removing residual tissue debris (crusts, flaking, dirt) and environmental allergens from the skin's surface.

Dosage and/or Method of Application
- After wetting the animal's skin well with water, apply the shampoo, massaging gently, all over the coat.
- Leave to act for 10 minutes and remove the shampoo by rinsing well with water.
- Applications should be done twice a week for 3 to 4 weeks.
- After significant improvements have been observed and in order to avoid relapses, the shampoo should be applied once a month.
