Beaphar Lactol Milk Powder for Kittens is made from highly digestible whey protein. Whey protein is known for its extremely high biological value and its essential amino acids (protein components). The Ultrafiltration process concentrates proteins, selecting the “best parts” of the milk through an exclusive membrane system. It removes excess salts that can upset younger stomachs and provides kittens with more nutrients that are beneficial to them. A slow and careful low-temperature evaporation process during production preserves the protein molecules and even keeps the immunoglobulins intact. This careful process allows kittens fed Beaphar Lactol to grow faster than other conventional formula milks, thanks to better protein digestibility.

Beaphar Lactol Milk Powder for Kittens has a superior amino acid content and provides a complete and perfectly balanced diet. DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is naturally present in breast milk and plays an important role in brain and vision development. DHA has been shown to improve cognitive ability and visual acuity in newborn mammals. Much has been published about the added value of DHA in puppy nutrition, but this knowledge is rarely applied to milk replacers. DHA has been added to Lactol to help puppies develop optimally.

Add Lactol to hot (not boiling) water and stir until completely dissolved. Let cool until warm (38°C or blood temperature). Adult pets may prefer to drink it cold. It is advisable to use suitable feeding equipment, such as the Beaphar Baby Bottle Kit. These must always be clean and sterile, especially for young animals. Lactol for kittens can be kept prepared in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, but must be warmed to blood temperature for young animals before use. Always keep fresh water available.

Add 7 level tablespoons (4.5 g per tablespoon) to every 100 ml of warm water.

It is impossible to provide the precise daily amount due to variations in age, size and breed. “On demand” feeding is the most effective. However, our recommended daily doses can be found in the attached leaflet. Weigh each puppy regularly to make sure he is gaining weight and growing as expected. In the case of large litters, Lactol can be given as additional food to weaker kittens. Store in a cool, dry and dark place. Store in the original packaging, tightly closed. For best results, use within 3 months of opening. The container is filled by weight. Contents may vary slightly during transportation.
