- Indoors or in enclosed spaces. If the spot where your pet usually urinates is too well-known because they always go to the same place, it may be necessary to place a urinal pad very close to that spot. Just as you use repellent on the unwanted area, you should place the attractant on the pad, which is placed near where the pet usually urinates, to shift the urination location to the pad. After the pet gets used to urinating on the pad, you can transfer the location by simply placing the pad in the desired spot. Once the pet is used to urinating on the pad and has the attractant there, it will seek out the pad to relieve itself. In this way, you can later transfer the urination location to the outside.

- Outdoors, you should apply the repellent to the unwanted area several times a day, as the product evaporates more quickly outdoors, losing its effectiveness. Then, apply the attractant to the desired location for urination. Alternatively, you can simply apply the repellent and wait for the animal to urinate elsewhere, then reward it for doing its business in the desired spot.

- In any situation, you should always wait until your pet has finished relieving themselves, and when they do so in the desired location, reward this behavior to effectively reinforce the proper place to relieve themselves. Reward them with praise and encouraging words, as well as delicious treats. This will make the process faster and help your pet understand that they receive rewards for doing it this way.

Puppies are hyperactive and playful, and they're always getting into mischief and relieving themselves several times a day, so sometimes they might go in the wrong place and other times not. Don't despair, be assertive and persistent, and you'll succeed.
