Because every cat is unique, daily amounts may vary depending on physical condition, breed, age, and life stage.

Diet is extremely important during the first few months of a kitten's life because it ensures the animal receives all the important and essential nutrients for healthy growth.

As soon as it is born, the kitten's primary source of food will be its mother's milk (under normal conditions). During the first few weeks of life, kittens may spend about 10% of their time nursing, increasing to 60% by 3 weeks and returning to 10% by the end of the first month. It is at this time that weaning usually begins (4 weeks); however, if the kitten cannot stand, play, or focus its eyes, you should wait a little longer until it is ready.

Weaning - Introducing Fluffy Cat Kitten

Weaning involves the gradual introduction of new solid food until the kittens are completely weaned from milk. It is during this phase that important changes occur in the digestive system and behavior of kittens.

When starting weaning and during the first few weeks, we recommend moistening the Fluffy Cat Kitten with a little warm water until it forms a paste. This will make the transition from milk (liquid) to solid easier, while also aiding digestion, as the digestive system is not yet fully developed. In the last few weeks (between the 6th and 7th week) you should reduce the amount of water until you offer the Fluffy Cat Kitten in its original state (by the 8th week).

Mother cats

Pregnant cats should also start feeding Fluffy Cat Kitten from the 4th week of gestation, gradually transitioning from their old food and increasing the daily amount until they are giving 100% Fluffy Kitten shortly before giving birth. To maintain more regular energy levels, provide several small meals throughout the day. Fluffy Cat Kitten will ensure the necessary energy intake to meet all the specific requirements of pregnancy (pregnant cats need higher amounts of calories and protein), as well as promoting better digestion.

Don't worry if your pregnant cat loses some of her appetite towards the end of her pregnancy. This could be a sign that labor is imminent.

During lactation, you should continue feeding the mother cats Fluffy Cat Kitten until weaning, and we recommend doing so ad libitum . This regime helps with free food intake since energy needs will depend on the amount of milk produced. Feeding the same food as the kittens will also promote better acceptance of this food during weaning.

Note: Nutrition is important for pregnant/lactating cats at all stages. If you notice a drastic decrease in appetite or sudden weight loss, we recommend speaking to your veterinarian.

And don't forget: Water is the most important nutrient for cats of any age. Make sure your cat has regular access to clean, fresh water.

Storage recommendations:

Store the product in a cool, dry place. Keep the bag tightly closed after each use.

Dietary transition:

If it becomes necessary or you wish to change your cat's diet, we recommend doing so gradually to allow the digestive system time to adapt to the new food (illustrative image).
