Because every dog is unique, daily amounts may vary depending on physical condition, breed, age, and life stage.

Diet is extremely important during the first few months of a dog's life, ensuring that the animal receives all the important and essential nutrients for healthy growth.

As soon as the puppy is born, its primary source of food will be its mother's milk (under normal conditions), and preparation for weaning should begin between six and eight weeks of age. It is at this time that you should introduce the new solid food, and we recommend adding a little warm water to Fluffy Cão Junior to soften it and form a paste. This will make the transition from milk (liquid) to solid food (Fluffy Cão Junior) easier and will also aid digestion, as the digestive system is not yet fully developed. Gradually reduce the amount of water until you offer the food in its original state.

Mothers should start feeding Fluffy Cão Junior in the last trimester of gestation, gradually transitioning from their previous food and increasing the daily amount until delivery. Fluffy Cão Junior will ensure the necessary energy intake to meet all the specific demands of late gestation, as well as promote better digestion.
During lactation, you should continue feeding the mother dogs Fluffy Cão Junior, and we recommend doing so ad libitum until 3-5 weeks of lactation (when milk production peaks). This regime helps with free food intake since energy needs will depend on the amount of milk produced. It is very important to ensure that the bitch receives enough energy from food for milk production and not from her reserves, thus maintaining her body weight. Feeding the same food as the puppies will also promote better acceptance of this food during weaning.

Warning: If the mother dog loses weight, it is a sign that she is not getting enough energy and you should consult your veterinarian.

Important: Make sure your dog has regular access to clean, fresh water.
