Omnichondro has 10 active components that can be divided, according to the type of role they play in joint protection, into 4 groups:

1. Chondroprotective Glycosaminoglycans – GAGs (Glucosamine, 1000mg and Chondroitin, 535mg), are fundamental components of the cartilage extracellular matrix. These molecules are structuring in the maintenance of joint elasticity and flexibility. They also play an important role in controlling the enzymes responsible for joint degradation.

2. Anti-oxidants (Vit. C, 140mg and E, 60mg), provide a neutralization of superoxide free radicals resulting from the inflammation and necrosis typical of osteoarthritis.

3. Anti-inflammatory herbal extracts (Urtica, 98mg and Harpago, 40mg), are antagonists of TNF-α (tumor necrotic factor), an inflammatory mediator characteristic of rheumatic processes and chronic inflammation.

4. Bicationic cofactors (Organic chelates of Mn, Zn, Cu, Se), essential to the physiological anti-inflammatory process and to the metabolism of joint reconstruction.

- The most complete formulation in GAGs, anti-oxidants, herbal extracts and bi-cationic factors.
- The most concentrated formulation in GAGs (Glucosamine and Chondroitin).
- The most economical presentation per treatment.

Situations in which Omnichondro is indicated

clinical situations
- Degeneration of articular cartilage and arthrosis.
- In animals with joint wear, due to intense exercise, overweight or old age.
- Post-traumatic joint disorders.

Prevention situations
- When there is a need to immobilize the joints due to ligatures, surgery and other reasons. In these cases, Omnichondro is administered during and after immobilization, until joint function is completely recovered.
- In animals in the growth period as a factor for better joint growth. Especially recommended in large, fast-growing breeds and in breeds predisposed to hip dysplasia.

Efficiency
- In tests performed Omnichondro proved to be effective as an important element in the treatment protocol and control of joint problems.
- Osteoarthritis, such as hip dysplasia, are largely irreversible processes, so the medical approach should only aim to stop or slow down the degenerative process of cartilage destruction. Once this process of joint wear and tear is controlled, the animal's quality of life should improve due to the control of inflammation and pain in the joint.

Long-term maintenance 1/4 cp/day for every 20kg

Prophylactic (during growth, especially fast-growing breeds) between 6 and 18 months of age, 1/2 cp/day for every 20kg

The use of Omnichondro in healthy animals, in a preventive way, is particularly recommended in puppies and growing animals belonging to breeds predisposed to joint problems. In both high doses and lower maintenance doses, administration can be done for prolonged periods without producing the side effects associated with anti-inflammatory drugs.
