It can be used as a maintenance cleaner where bacteria have been identified by cytology or culture.

How to use Otodine Ear Cleansing Solution

- Use Otodine twice a day for at least 14 days.
- Wash and clean the ear canal and the auricle.
- Do not touch the skin with the tip of the bottle.
- Place the Otodine in the ear canal until the canal is completely filled.
- Massage the base of the external ear canal (cartilage) for at least one minute to allow the solution to reach the bottom of the canal. Leave the work for a few minutes.
- Carefully dry the ear canal with a cotton ball or gauze and completely remove residual debris.

Chlorhexidine digluconate - has antibacterial action and is not deactivated by organic debris.

TrisEDTA - has a synergistic effect with chlorhexidine digluconate, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) has an antibacterial action, and buffer solutions containing tromethamine (Tris) have been used to enhance this action.

Active Substances (per 100 mL):

- Chlorohexidine digluconate (0.15 mg)
- Tris-EDTA buffered to pH 8 with lactic acid (0.25 g)

- Pour the product into the animal's ear until it is completely filled, avoiding touching the skin with the tip of the package.
- With a compress, massage the inside of the ear, with a movement from the base to the top, for 1 minute, in order to facilitate the removal of material.
- Dry the ear with the aid of a dry compress.
- Apply the solution 1 or 2 times a day, for 14 days or as determined by the veterinarian.
