Enterococcus Faecium - Probiotic With the function of repopulating the intestinal flora, Enterococcus faecium inhibits the growth and adhesion of pathogenic bacteria through a mechanism of competition between receptors and substrate. It has the ability to colonize the intestine, thus contributing to the balance of the intestinal flora.

Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) - Probiotic and Immunostimulant, its use is associated with increased production of Immunoglobulins (IgE and IgM) with benefits in terms of systemic and intestinal immunity. They have cell wall carbohydrates such as mannanoligosaccharides (MOS). In their metabolism they also reduce the oxygen in the intestinal tract, thus decreasing the number of aerobic bacteria in the digestive tract. They produce SCFAs (long chain fatty acids), which lower the pH of the GIT, which translates into a more hostile environment for pathogenic bacteria.

Fructligosaccharides (FOS) - Prebiotic and Immunostimulant Prebiotic effect that results from the support and maintenance of the population of bacteria in the intestinal flora, namely Lactobacilli, which are important in the control of E.coli. They are also associated with the production of lactic acid and SCFA and improve local and systemic immunity by stimulating the production of immunoglobulins and B lymphocytes by GALT.

Pectin - Absorbent Fiber. Pectin has a protective action on the mucous membranes, particularly the colonic mucosa. It helps solidify liquid stools due to its water holding capacity. It also helps to normalize intestinal peristalsis.

Glutamine- Supplementation with Glutamine. Glutamine is the main fuel for the gut as well as many immune cells. It is therefore conditionally essential during catabolic states. Glutamine supplementation produces a more rapid division of enterocytes as well as intestinal immune cells. Under conditions of stress and catabolism, mucosal cells and lymphoid tissue utilize glutamine to help maintain integrity and to reduce bacterial translocation into the mesenteric lymph nodes.

Vitamins B1, B2 and B6 – Vitamins Deficiency in Thiamine, Riboavin and Pyridoxine is associated with the development of various intestinal morphological and kinetic changes. These changes are associated with smooth muscle mitochondrial dysfunction and altered cell replication, with a consequent impact on gut histological architecture and absorption capacity.
