Lespedeza capitata supplement formulated in highly palatable chews for dogs and cats with chronic kidney disease, uremia reduction, diuretic.

Indications:

- Reduction of blood urea concentration in animals with Chronic Kidney Disease.
- Reduction of oliguria and albuminuria in animals with chronic renal or hepatic disease.
- Stimulation of diuresis in animals with Chronic Kidney Disease.

Lespedeza capitata contains flavonoids that produce renal vasodilation and stimulate the kidney parenchyma, increasing diuresis and reducing blood urea without disrupting the electrolyte balance.

Studies in rats, rabbits, and cats have shown that Lespedeza capitata has a diuretic effect as potent as theophylline and theobromine, but with a longer duration.

- In cats and dogs with liver and kidney failure, Lespedeza capitata was able to eliminate oliguria and albuminuria, and significantly reduce blood urea concentration.

- Subacute (5X, 30 days) and chronic (5X, 90 days) toxicity tests did not produce changes in weight, clinical, hematological or histopathological alterations.

- Dialix Lespedeza-5: 1 chew for every 5 kg of weight, twice a day (for cats and small dogs);
